Repurposing

Recently linked up with a very talented photographer, Justin Gonzaga of JustG Photography, to kick start a new series. After a day of brainstorming and moving from location to location on an impromptu shoot, we took a long, hard look at our equipment and decided to try something new — and the Repurposing Project was born! How else can we use our photography equipment? You’ll see below. It is always such a pleasure sharing techniques and ideas with fellow/photographers artists. The creative process is a beautiful thing! There’s nothing more awesome than putting two heads together and creating :) More to come soon!

A dear friend of mine (who is an incredible listener!) bought me a fisheye attachment this past Christmas. Finally put it to use and I am thoroughly pleased :) Thank you Alex!!!

P.S. Glad to be done with finals! Hibernation time :)

I don’t usually post anything outside of my personal artwork, but this is too important not to share! Earlier this semester, all of my camera equipment was stolen from my apartment. The few photoshoots that I held this semester were only made possible by borrowing equipment from my generous photographer friends. Losing my equipment was a blessing in disguise. It gave me more time to dance, a hobby that I picked up upon entering college. Never before have I been so proud and blessed to be a part of such an amazing and incredibly talented group of people, the [M]ovement. You all are seriously my family here at Cal. Thank you all for being so inspiring and for helping me grow as a dancer and a person <3

By the way, thanks for the awards! :)

An incredibly fierce piece performed by my dance team, the [M]ovement! I love them all so much <3 Thank you Jaymie for helping me become a better dancer :)
